We are looking for an experienced, caring, intuitive, and passionate Lead Pastor to join our thriving, growing church in Western Washington.

Skagit Valley: The gateway to the North Cascades! Skagit County is a beautiful, family friendly area with everything from tulip fields, rivers, and farmland to mountain peaks, trendy downtown areas, beautiful architecture, and small to medium size city living at its finest! Our campuses are in Sedro-Woolley, Burlington, La Conner and Marblemount. We’re biased but we don’t think there’s a more beautiful place in the entire PNW!

About us: We are a healthy group of believers who come together to worship and share community in a culturally relevant environment. We are currently averaging around 1,000 people in attendance every Sunday on 4 different campuses. Our original location averages around 700+ per Sunday in attendance. We care about following God, we care about fulfilling his purpose for our church, we care about people because people matter to God, and we are looking for someone who loves Jesus and people to lead us into the future. Our church has a very modern and fun worship style while also holding very tightly to traditional, biblical values. We are a multi-generational church that puts the next generation first, we’re compassion driven both locally and globally, we are committed to excellence (not perfection), we are outreach driven in that we are passionate about people being saved, baptized, and discipled, and we are committed to our community. We have a healthy, fun, and thriving staff of more than 20 people (Including 4 Full Time Pastors, Campus Pastors, several part time Pastors, a full office team, janitorial, facilities, media, and a kids ministry team as well). Our facilities are all owned and recently remodeled, we are financially stable and have a healthy and fun church culture.

Our History: Inspire Church of Sedro-Woolley (originally Bethel Assembly of God) has been in existence for 97 years and has been at our current location for 50+ years. In that time span we’ve had many ups and downs, but the last decade has been a season of renewal, health, and God focused vision. Most recently (about 6 years ago) we’ve grown from 1 campus with around 50-60 attendees with 80 people who call our church their church home to 4 campuses and around 1,000 regular attendees with 2,000+ people who call our church their church home. Most of this growth has been brand new Christians, unchurched people, and de-churched people with some transfer growth. Our most recent Lead Pastor is moving to his hometown and this transition has been incredibly healthy for both our former Pastor and our church. We will miss our former Pastor, but we are incredibly excited for our future and what God has for Inspire and Skagit Valley!

 Requirements:

• AT LEAST 5 years full time experience in Pastoral Leadership (Campus Pastor, Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, Children’s Pastor, etc.) at a church of 500 or more in average worship attendance.

• AT LEAST 5 years of experience in executive level leadership (Managing people, budgets, facilities, etc. in a “large” church context.)

• AT LEAST 5 years of experience in Preaching/Communicating God’s Word on a regular/weekly basis.

• MUST be humble, hungry, and smart!

• MUST be proficient in communication of God’s Word.

• MUST be proficient in working knowledge of the various systems/computer programs that are used at Inspire (Mac, Word, Excel, QB online, PCO, Adobe, ProPresenter, etc.)

• Experience in developing leaders and teams.

• Experience with Planning Center (PCO) and ProPresenter preferred 

• Experience in managing systems, strategies, and structure of a church of 500+.

• Experience in maintaining/creating budgets, staff structures, facility management, organizational structure, etc.

• Experience in creating/maintaining a “Preaching Calendar” that fulfills the overall needs of the body and places proper emphasis on God’s Word.

• Experience with leading in a “Multi-Site” context. 

• Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree preferred (Or experience/skills to effectively do the job) 

• Ordained with Assemblies of God and in good standing with NWMN (Or the ability to accomplish this within 1 year of hire date)
